Kruse Smith AS was established in 1935, has and has since developed into a leading player in the Norwegian contractor and property market. Maintaining strong local foundations has been, and remains, an important focus point for the company.
Kruse Smith is Norway’s sixth largest contractor (Byggeindustrien June 2011) and is a family-owned group with the Leire family as the principal shareholder. Tomas Leire serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Employees hold approx. 10% of the shares.
The Kruse Smith Group is divided into the following business segments: Infrastructure, Building construction, Building renovation, Housing and property development. The Group posted total sales of NOK 3.1 billion in 2010 and employs around 950 people.
